ANN PORRO lives in Newcastle. One of the best live poets on the circuit during the previous decade, she took a long sabbatical from the stage whilst staying close to literature via her day job at the amazing Barter Books in Alnwick. Her blend of serious and comical, self-deprecating and celebratory poetry is highly engaging and entertaining. Ann’s collection ‘Letter From an Unknown Dog’ came out on Zebra Publishing in 2013.
LEWIS BROWN is a Newcastle-based poet and spoken word performer who writes horror, comedy, queer-platonic love poems and about any subject that is currently making his ADHD produce the good brain chemicals. Lewis has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Royal Albert Hall, the Scottish National Slam Championships and on BBC Radio Newcastle. He can be found at @ShouldHaveSentAPoet on Instagram.’
MAYIRA THOMAS lives in County Durham. Her writing began three years ago during an inner-transformative journey. In 2021, Mayira was commissioned to write a poem for International Women’s Day. Mayira is founder of Mayfly Coaching–building confidence and resilience in 15–25-year-olds. Mayira has taken part in open mic evenings, the Born Lippy poetry slam and has poems in Bullion Hall Writers Anthology 2022.
